Each decision has the potential to either move you closer to your goals - or further away from them. One of those decisions is, of course, do you sell with an agent, or do you sell it yourself?

After all, money does play a huge role, and every seller naturally wants all the money they can get so they can do/have [the reason they’re selling].

Having said that, I think there is a deeper reason, though, and it’s trust. Looking in from the outside, it seems like most agents are all the same; they all talk about how awesome they are, they brag about sales and awards, and how cutting-edge their marketing plan is, and when you look at their fancy Instagram profiles … you really don’t know are they in real estate … or are they hoping to land a modelling gig?

Quite frankly, I think over the past few years especially, with the rise of all these amazing online marketing platforms and branding tools and social media, our industry has been reduced to ‘looking fancy and successful’ while seriously lacking when it comes to actual skill and competence.

I believe that the real reason many home sellers hesitate to list with an agent is that they just don’t feel confident in the agent’s level of competence to do a good job representing them with the utmost level of class and emotional intelligence and selling their property at the highest level possible.

Are you really the best?
