The 'Official' About

My name is Shelly Reddy and I help busy families and professionals in and around the Lewis Estates Area buy and sell real estate using my Reddy-Set-SOLD home selling system.

I love living in Lewis Estates, Edmonton!

Everything you need is here. We are well connected with easy access to major highways, shopping and entertainment, and yet … it is a very quiet, family-friendly neighbourhood just west of Edmonton. My husband and I love being part of this community and raising our family here.

As a third-generation REALTOR®, I believe selling real estate is so much more than a ‘transaction’ … and genuinely understanding what’s most important to people when it comes to choosing a place to live and helping them make a good decision - for them - truly is one of the greatest privileges of my life.

I’ll never forget the time when I was a little girl, back in Newfoundland … I would watch my grandfather, who opened the very first real estate brokerage in the area, and my Mom, who worked with him, talk about the day-to-day real estate stuff!

I didn’t understand much at the time … but I remember the legal sized carbon copy contracts in our house and in Mom's vehicle … and I remember how excited Mom would get when she sold a house! It was always a big deal because she would treat me to dinner at a restaurant, and one time ... a new T.V.! It was a floor model T.V. and I was so excited because we didn't have a T.V. prior to that. Oh, the good ol’ days!

Isn’t it interesting how you sometimes don't realize what you had growing up … until you live a while … and learn to appreciate those things? Mom was a brokerage owner and a Realtor in a very small town where everybody knows everybody and people talk - and she had nothing but respect. She gave back and truly cared about her clients and made sure that they made the right purchase. I am so grateful to have had her as my role model and to be able to carry on the legacy.

The real estate business sure has evolved since then, and while I like to keep up with all the relevant trends … the thing that never changes is: genuine human connection and care.

Whether you are looking to buy or sell - I believe service is an action word, and the real indicator of a world-class buying and selling experience is measured in continuing relationships, mutual respect and referrals.

Whenever you’re ready … I’d love to have a conversation and listen to your goals and real estate dreams and answer any questions you may have to make sure you have the insight you need to make a good decision - for you and your family!

Don't Collect Stuff... Collect Memories!

My husband and I love to travel and enjoy all the amazing things Alberta has to offer. Lake Louise, Canmore, Banff ... people come to vacation here from all over the world! How fortunate we are to live here!

We love cross country and downhill skiing. I am an avid runner and one of my favourite destinations to run is Canmore. Canmore is about 3 hours away from Edmonton and the Canadian Rockies borders - an easy drive on the weekend and we love getting out there whenever we can!

Life's too short to wait for a 'better time' to do the things you love. You don't know what tomorrow will bring and I try to do my best to make the most of what I have today!

I Am An Avid Runner & Golfer...

I love to be out in nature, move my body and live an active lifestyle. In fact, a little know fact about me is that I have competed in 2 fitness competitions - body composition - which was a pinnacle moment in my life. I wasn't sure if I'd be good at it but I did it anyway. And, as it usually is in life, it's not the destination, but the journey to get there that ends up having the greatest impact on us! Training for these competitions molded me to become more structured, practice will power and master my discipline.

Living in Lewis Estates means to be in walking distance of a championship golf course and I love the convenience of being able to walk out my front door and at hole #1 within 5 minutes! It is a huge plus for me and my family. While I don't putt for dough ... I do know how to drive for show! ;)

Winter In Alberta Is Awesome!

During the winter the Golf Course clears the cart path so that we can walk, run or walk our dog. The Lewis Estates Community league has 2 outdoor rinks for families to spend time skating. Often, we will take our Granddaughter Aria and our dog, George skating and have a little wiener roast. It is always filled with happy families that have children the same age.

Welcome To My Christmas Kitchen!

Since 2001 I have baked cookies for my clients for the calendar year during Christmas. It is a tradition from my Grandmother and I have baked cookies over Christmas since I was a little girl. I now share this tradition with my Granddaughter. It gives me so much joy to deliver these cookies to my clients and it makes such a huge impact. I average about 60 cans of cookies a year. Late nights and a few extra calories for my husband. But he doesn't mind!

Fundraising, Purcell Mountains, BC

In August 2021, I trekked in British Columbia’s Northern Purcell Mountains in support of the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation. Over the course of 6 days, I hiked across some of Canada’s most majestic terrain. While the scenery was incredible, the hiking was not easy as I was carrying all my gear and camping supplies on my back. It was tent-camping and going without bathroom facilities, electricity, cell service and other comforts of home. I raised over $12,000.00! Every step I took and each dollar we raised made it easier for women and children in our community to walk safely away from violence. It was worth it.

My Hero & Inspiration

My Grandfather opened Sheppard's Real Estate in Happy Valley, Goose Bay, Labrador in the 70's and my mother got her Real Estate license in the 80's. We were the very first brokerage in the area. The population of Happy Valley, Goose Bay at the time was about 8000. Goose Bay was a Nato Military Base at the time.

My Grandfather moved to Goose Bay and was a refueler for the fighter jets when he was in his 20's. He met my Grandmother there as she was working as a seamstress for the military.

She was from New Brunswick and couldn't speak a lick of english. She was French and learned to speak english on her own. My Grandfather said the only word she knew was NO!

They got married and saved enough money to open the very first and one and only Sheppard's Dry Cleaning. Then, it grew into a hotel, The Royal Inn and Suites.

My mother was very monumental in growing the companies. When she took over the family businesses took off. My Grandfather retired and Mom expanded all businesses, including Sheppard's Real Estate. She hired another Realtor and eventually became a Royal LePage brokerage at one point. Hence the reason why I am with Royal LePage.

Mom was always on me to become a Realtor when I was trying to figure out what to do with my life. I fumbled through a few careers before realizing that Real Estate really was the place to be for me.

I have fond memories of growing up in a real estate family. I remember the legal sized carbon copy contracts everywhere in our house and in Mom's vehicles. I remember how excited Mom would get when she sold a house! It was always a big deal because she would treat me to dinner at a restaurant and one time ... a new T.V. It was a floor model T.V. and I was so excited as we didn't have a T.V. prior to that!

A Real Estate Legacy...

Sometimes you don't realize what you had until you live a while and learn to appreciate those things. Mom was a brokerage owner and Realtor in a very small town where everybody knows everybody ... and people talk ... and she had nothing but respect. She gave back and truly cared about her clients and made sure that they made the right purchase. I'm proud to have my Mother's ethics in Real Estate and grateful to be able to carry on the legacy!

These photos really say it all and I'm so blessed and grateful to call her my Mom.
